Carbon Fiber Hood

Here's some photos of the preliminary CF hood fit up. The material looks so good I hate to paint it!!! The mold was made from a Ford stock hood so It's really no surprise it fits the same. I'm really happy with the no passenger side wiper cut out look. I actually got the idea from someone here who was going to modify their stock hood.

For the record removing the passenger side post is a easy job. A small blank off plate installs easily and the wiper drive bars just pop off at the ball joints.

PM me if you're interested in a CF hood. Yes and you know "who" is the first on the list !!

Proposed paint scheme

This is a model of the proposed paint scheme I want to end up with!! But I can tell you I'm going to hate to paint over the CF !!! I will be leaving the extractor vents bare. I really like the natural shadowing effect. It makes the GT look even more evil...

I wish I could photo shop !! That's just toy with some electrical tape for black out !! Low tech full effect !!!:biggrin

Well I plan to have my GT's as long as I'm around so I've got lots of years to come up with stuff and I can tell you there will be some fun stuff coming down the pipe line !!! I may take you up on the photo shop. The tape on the model was a quick way to get a 3D look and what I wanted to achive...Thanks for your offer. I did post some photos in the first and second threads. They're not the best but it gives you the the basic look..
