I've put 3k miles on my whipple 3.4 715rwhp/690 rwtq.

I'm starting to wish i'd done the 4.0...

any one know what the delta in power is going from 19 to 21 psi? race fuel tune?

Your going to need turbos to make a real difference.

gah! $30k? uhm. No. Well.....

Or some funny gas for much less money. :lol

Ahh the need for more power never fades.

I don't know about you, but I'm just under 800 with my 4.0 and have heard of others here making that or more on a well-tuned 3.4. That being said, you certainly have room for improvement without going turbo, at least another 100+ HP. My 800 WHP feels anything but slow and in fact, won't even hook in 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the street on my Michelin Pilot Sport's. It's much closer in terms of balls-to-the-wall straight line thrust to my ZX14 than to my Gen IV modded Viper, or Z06. How can 715 RWHP feel slow? Most sports cars make a bit over half of that in stock trim. ROTFLMFAO. Speak to Torrie about a pulley upgrade and a tune...and get another easy 100 HP or more, with that and a new less restricted intake. (GT Guys)

Running a lot of boost with the Whipples and you will have to pay close attention to fuel volume and pressure as you will be significantly taxing the OEM components. The higher you go, the more I would highly recommend working with Torrie - as he has so much experience with the cars and the fuel systems. His defacto real-time data capture program is grabbing these values and you need someone like Torrie who can instantly know the "tells" for when you are running out of fuel. Without the experience, others may mis-diagnose the causes.... and you do not want to run the risk of having a lean mixture at full boost and max RPM. Things can go to hell in a hand basket in a hurry.

+1

Check that e-brake handle is horizontal.

Now that's funny...

This thread needs a McKayla Maroney is not impressed with Whipple image.

Speed is relative of course, but unless you've been spending a lot of time in TT Gallardo's or TT GT-R's, I can't imagine (including bikes) what makes 7XX at the wheels feel 'slow'.

I spend a lot of time in my 1100whp GTT, and my GT with 766 still feels like a fast car.

idk, unless it's the summer heat here... but while i wouldn't say "slow" by any means... it just doesn't scare me the way it did when i first got it... Is your 766 a 4.0?

true statement. I'm used to the 1400hp setting on my Lambo, need put the 1550+ tune in it. :)
