I'm OK with either....less familiar w thousand Oaks. It seems one can't really go wrong driving through malibu, and if we go early enough we will beat any significant traffic. You make the call! Looking forward to it!

OK, let's do PCH through Malibu.
Someone earlier in this thread mentioned a good meeting place would be the Starbucks in Malibu on Cross Creek Road.
I'm not familiar with the area so I'm suggesting we go with their recommendation and meet there. I looked up restaurants in the area and this Starbucks must be in a large shopping mall with several restaurants immediate adjacent to it. Let's meet at this Starbucks at 9:00am and find a near by restaurant for breakfast. I know you have to be back home early so we can meet you before 9:00am if you wish. The Starbucks is only a few blocks north of PCH at 3900 Cross Creek Road in Malibu. Cross Creek Road is only a few blocks before Malibu Canyon Road comes out to PCH according to the maps. Open to a better place if you know of one.
I'll send you a PM with my cell phone number.
Looking forward to meeting this Saturday ( 12/14).
Ron

Man I am so jealous. I just got back from a business trip and had not checked the forum. Meanwhile, my wife had already made plans for me to join her on more Xmas shopping today!!! Sucks that I am not with you guys and I hope we can do another one soon. Enjoy, its a perfect day just a bit windy but should die down late morning. GodSpeed

we did. Drove north through malibu to Ojai via lake casitas. Weather was really nice (high 70's). It was a pleasure to meet Ron and his wife, and the only thing that could've been better was having more of you out there with us. Next time. As for pics, Ron was in charge of that since he had a new phone that was the size of some of my TVs at home and apparently takes great pictures. Looking forward to doing this again!

Trying to figure out how to get the pics out of my new phone (?).
Looking for a picture release leveler. Think I found the transaxle.
Getting them posted on this thread next (?).

Ojai Drive

Did you fellas get out this morning ?
Any pics?
Two cars made the drive and although we missed the other 4,036 cars, we had a great time. It was clear , sunny and warm with temps near 80F. That's 80F above ( sorry you guys from the colder climes; Mid-West/East , Canada, UK ,Europe, Alaska,...., but I had to take the cheap shot). We met in Malibu and after some industrial strength coffee , starter the drive up PCH ( Pacific Coast Highway) . At Carpinteria (that's a quaint California seaside community , and not an intestinal disorder), we gave the gals some exercise on the winding mountain roads heading up the to Lake Casitas. From there we continued to Ojai where we made a pit stop at the Ojai Inn & Spa. Upon arrival , the parking valet put us ( we drove our cars) in a special coned- off VIP section in the first row of the parking lot ( see hopefully attached picture) completely away from any possible contact from other cars. These guys really knew how to properly treat our gals. Amir was familiar with the resort and showed us around the grounds -a very nice place. We continued from there down HWY 150 into Santa Paula and started our return journey back home via Hwy126 to I5 back towards Los Angeles.

Well, got the pics out of my phone but haven't been successful in attaching to this posting (?). Will continue and post when I figure it out.

Nicely done, gentlemen. Wish I could have joined in the fun. Hope to get down there sometime early next year after the holidays. Anyone from SoCal planning on going to Barrett Jackson in January? May drive there and will be passing through SoCal.

Yeah, you missed a fun drive and would have enjoyed your company. But ,we'll see who's interested in another local trek after the holidays.
As for weight loss, I did take about 45 lbs off the rear end with the replacement of that factory boat anchor with an X-pipe. And, I really don't mind the rear bumper ( to each his own).

Happy Holidays - One & All !
