battery question regrading OEM ford gt battery vs aftermarket

my battery just failed. I see on the ford OEM Optima battery is 700 dollars. My question is, is this the same battery that is being sold at advance auto parts which sells an Optima battery that fits the ford gt and sells for 300 dollars. Will this aftermarket battery work since it is from the same manufacturer? thanks

The Optima Group 25 Red Top is the same. Check Oreilly's, they are more like $250. Search on this forum for "battery" and you will get overwhelmed with battery wisdom.

There are long threads addressing this topic here. Search can be your friend. The short answer is yes, that is the battery. Try to save the Ford GT sticker on the old battery.
