Anyone used a Multivex mirror before?

They don't currently have a Ford GT application...

I guess some of the Lotus Exige/Elise guys have tried this with apparent success - just wondering if anyone else has any experience with this type of mirror. I have no connection to them. Too lazy to take the steps to have a custom made set, particularly without knowing how well they work.

No sir...so sorry. If you'd like a pair of mirrors custom made, send a template of your mirrors per the instructions on our DOWNLOADS page to our Detroit office for a price quote. Thanks for your time and interest...stay safe!

Hmm. Interesting. Like all things, I wonder why OEMs wouldn't make them for the cars if they work.

Now if they would get the wording on the passenger mirror correct, I would be interested.

Inertia and expense?

My guess would be product liability. After the first thousand people back into objects and blame it on the new fangled mirror that distorts distance that would be the end of it.

Bummer. It would be nice to have a side view mirror that is useful for something more than law enforcement officers to rest their clipboards on.

Randy,
I've got some spare glass pieces. Maybe I'll send one up and get a quote?
If we can get a group buy would anyone else be interested? I like the concept. The full convex mirror is not bad but if they've got something with less depth distortion It maybe worth a look..

a simple and economical solution that I have always liked...

I like this solution because it doesn't damage stock.. it's easily removable, and completely fixes issues with seeing lines on the ground, and cars in your blind spot.. :wink

I'm with you and have small round ones on both mirrors that cost about $3 each. A must have that saves you from having to crank your neck and taking your eyes off the road for longer than necessary!!!!!:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

The GT mirror has a small surface area. For me that option takes up to much of the surface area for normal viewing..Some have done this and like it..

You just have to give it time to get used to it. I've run these small stickons on several cars and wouldn't be without them, especially on the GT. Best of both worlds.

That would be great Brian. I'd be interested in a group buy purchase. If we have enough, perhaps we can get the price close to the regular production prices.

I've always been skeptical of these. Usually the ones I see have some really cheezy mirror surfaces on them (bent, distorted). Anyone have a good supplier for a nice quality one?

I'm inclined to see what kind of quote we can get on the Multivex.

Drove to Vegas and met up with about 100 BMW cars for a rally. Decided I should increase my side visibility. Thanks for the suggestions! I found a decent stick on mirror.

Works better than I expected.
