Do you know if Avery Dennison is the manufacturer of Xpel? If this is the product I think it is, it is good stuff with a clear over-film that helps avoid staining and yellowing. I may use it on my new Nissan GT-R.

I have been using Autobonn, and I wish I could remember their actual film manufacturer, but just redid the GT, and Roketman, will agree as he just had his GT-R done, the Venture film, is MILES better, and the Autobonn, was good to us until we saw the Venture.

I've tried Xpel and Venture recently and it isn't even kinda sorta close. Venture is so much smoother and clearer

I have been installing Xpel films now for about 2 years and they do make a great film. I think if you did half the car with Xpel film and half the car with Venture Shield you probably would not be able to see a difference. Both are great premium films.

Xpel also develops some of the best patterns on the market. I just finished installing film on my GT with the Xpel patterns and they fit very well. One note to remember when installing the film on GT's you need to remove the front spoiler to cover the front bumper and the side skirts to do the rocker panels.

It is just as important to find a good installer as use good film. One thing to ask the installer is if they will be cutting the film on your car with a razor for any reason. There are very few people in the industry that I would a low to cut on my car. I have seen too many cars that have been cut by installers. With the patterns provided by Xpel there is no reason to have to cut on the car.

Depends on which Xpel film you use. We use Venture and Xpel. The new Xpel is great. The older Xpel is not nearly as good.

I have been watching and reading many thread's and post;s about the "clear bra" and other applications for the "rockers" etc.etc. I HAVE ONE QUESTION........Although many do not leave their GT;s in the baking sun all day, there are times when the car is out there, at a car show, rally or what ever...............what happens to the paint years later when the Film is removed...It makes sense to me that there will be some discoloration of the parts which were not covered, ..... the parts not covered should be slightly off than the parts covered........just based on the natural elements of rain, washing, detailing etc. etc.....can someone tell me different from your experience?

This winter I pulled off the Autobon that was on there for 5+ years. I did not see any transition line at all. I have never pulled the film off a "normal" car after years to see if there was any visible transition.

With todays films the paint that is covered with a clear bra with fade or discolor the same as the paint that is not covered.
