Going to purchase tomorrow and wanted to know if anyone has any history on it. low mile car so I guess it's a shot in the dark.

Suggest a PPI, 30% of the fleet said to have been damaged. Call the GT Guys, Shadowman, Kendall and fly them out. Drop the bellypans, check her out on an alignment rack... Or toss the dice... Feeling lucky??

Hope all goes well..

can you give me a little more on the "damage" to 30% of fleet?

noobie here to GT's.

Simple, close to 1/3 of the fleet has been damaged and repaired on and off the books. Have a GT expert check her out, cheap insurance. Did you do a caffax to see if any insurance companies paid off on her? Did you check vin numbers on the various panels, how about a leak down test?
Or do you know all the history on her, guess not or you would not be asking us.... :) good luck:)

hate to say it but I am a roll the dice kinda guy. not that it really matters but the car has 671 miles.

good luck,.... hope it turns out well for you. one in three odds are not in your favor.

I'm not a doom and gloom guy....but Bony just might be onto something here for the first time.

Just because it only has 671 miles means absolutely nothing. There have been well reported accidents of GT's just leaving the dealership getting destroyed.....and I assume, put back together.

That's not really good odds for Bony either...10,000+ posts and only onto something for the first time?:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

I think thee underestimates Bony! :biggrin

just got the carfax. No issues. 1 owner

cooling system checked at 4 months old. Vehicle serviced
Maintenance inspection completed at 7 months old.

that's it on the carfax.

:thumbsup
I look forward to the post saying you are now an owner!

Don't completely rely on carfax. It could have been in an accident, and repaired privately so it would not show up in carfax.

+1000000000000000000000000 (there are not enough zeros in this world)

Carfax is nice, but inaccurate. If you're considering buying a $160,000+car, pay a thousand now (less than 1% of cost) and get her inspected carefully. Many here can vouch for the importance. I've never regretted paying for a PPI, but have regretted not.

Also, might want your Ford dealer to run the VIN and see if it's been to the dealer for any warranty repair that hints of trouble.

That car is sitting in Houston at the local lamborghini shop. I have looked at many of their cars before and can say that I would trust buying from them BUT it never hurts to have someone check it out just to be on the safe side.

Thanks,
Mark

I have also seen the white/blue car at the Lambo dealership in H-town. I bought my silver no-striper from them in Aug. Gary, the owner, is a straight-up guy. Raj, one of the sales guys, is also reasonable to deal with. I think Soroush and DoctorV8 would vouch for them. Bony's points are well taken though. My white/blue car was put into a ditch by a Ford service technician at 300 or so miles on the odo. Minor plastic and underpan damage fixed by the dealership off the record (0 carfax). Got a diminished value settlement.
If this car is truly a no stories car you can trust them...but an inspection is not unreasonable. Good luck and sign back in as an owner on the Forum.

Who is this Bony guy?

Keep it up and find 99 Obama signs and Prop 8 signs on your front lawn when you wake up:banana:willy:lol:willy:banana

Awsum, aka "J. Edgar" Bony Fife. Be very careful with him. He knows where you live.

roll the dice, just make sure you can afford it. although I know the Houston lambo dealer to be a straight operation you should still be diligent and do your research, that being said I bought both of my cars sight unseen, good luck.

are you in Houston?

I am in Houston and I bought my 575 from them a little over a year ago, no issues with the car. Talk to you guys in a little bit (picking it up today).
