i would like to thank steve592 from this site for reffering me on the whereabouts of this car that was for sale. i bought it from Lone Star Ford in Houston, Texas right around X-mas time. i picked up my matching Trailex trailer from the Barrett-Jackson auto auction in January and on monday January 31st i towed my car home from the dealer. i used to walk into my garage and look at my viper sittin next to my vette and think "man does this viper look wild.......it makes the vette look tame". now i walk into my garage and say "man does this GT look wild.......it makes the viper look tame" :cool

How much do those trailers run approximately? If you don't mind me asking.

Looks very nice. Large side access door also.

Congrats on the GT beauty too.

There's a bigger contrast in my garage, Freddy!
My GT sits right beside my grandfather's 1937 Chrysler Royal 5 window business coupe!!!! Talk about a "generation gap!"
:rofl
Grampa's ol' Chrys just TOWERS over the GT!!!!! AND THEY'RE BOTH 2 SEATERS!!!
It's just jaw dropping to see the huge difference side by side. 'Unbelieveable!:lol

My GT sits next to a 1975 Triumph T160 Trident. And the wildest part? The Triumph towers over the GT too!

Well, maybe towers is too strong, but the handlebars are undeniably higher than the GT's roof when it's on the center stand, which just blows my mind.

one of these days i will have to take a pic of all of these vehicles lined up next to each other so you can see all these silver stripes in all their glory :party

Great looking car everetto - Stormcat has to see the Mosler :eek -

"The central structure of the tub is carbon fiber over honeycomb
aluminum core and the entire flat bottom underside is Kevlar – the same material used in bulletproof vests. And there are 16 layers of carbon fiber in the roof liner. The company that tested it said it was the strongest car they have ever tested."

i have always wanted a GT-40 ever since i sat in an original one 20 years ago. 10 years ago i used to race wheel to wheel against that same GT-40 at firebird raceways 1.5 mile road course here in arizona. my brother got to ride shotgun in it while i raced against it on the track in my old road race car. it blew my doors off with its handling and speed. so when i heard that ford was gonna remake this car like 4 years ago i knew that i wanted one.

i have been following the new GT recreation very closely for the last 4 years and made sure to see every single color made in person before i decided to buy black with silver stripes. since the cars interior is only offered in black with silver trim i felt that the black with silver stripe car complemented the interior the best and so this was really the nail in the coffin for me that helped me decide which color to get.

once i made up my mind it was just a matter of finding one that was fully loaded with the silver brake calipers i wanted at the price i wanted to pay. when i found this car for sale i knew within 5 minutes of seeing the ad on ebay that the car was gonna be mine. it had a buy it now price listed at the "MSRP" sticker price and so i called the dealer and told them to take the ad off of ebay because i was "buying the car right now". i wired them the $$$$$$ that very day and within 1 hour of my phone call they cancelled the auction and took the ad off of ebay. just that quick my 4 year journey came to an end and a new one has begun.

now begins the process of modifying my GT over then next 4 years in order to ultimately race my GT at the silver state classic in nevada and the 1 mile top speed shootout in goliad, texas. until then i will keep racing my viper at these sort of events as well as short track road courses. once i start racing my GT in the future then i will just use my viper for short track road racing events only.

here is another pic of my black beauty. i took this one today :thumbsup

Well, Sir, I would if I could ... but I can't, so I won't!

Believe it or not, 'Slider, I JUST REC'D my new digital camera (Cannon SD900 if that means anything to anybuddy). 'Never owned a digital B4. So, I've been sittin' here looking at this lump of 21st Century tech & it's so called "instructions" trying to figger 'em BOTH out with a 20th century brain.

As soon as I get a "tech whizz" (my 2nd born or her husband) to cut thru all the techno crap & 'SPLAIN to me how to DO that there "postin'" stuff - I'll get right on it for yuh!:lol

Seriously, I'm going to quit wasting my time with the lack luster instructions and just have one of the kids SHOW me. That's all it will take.

(I've never seen such a FLOOD of superfluous written CRAP in one place in my LIFE. Good lord, there are 4 - COUNT 'EM...FOUR - manuals in the dang box with this thing!!!!! The dang camera is literally the size of a crush proof box of cigarettes - AND THE REST OF THE 6"X9" SHIPPING BOX IS FULL OF MANUALS AND OTHER CRAP! NUTS TO THAT!!!!!!!:mad )
