Advice on private jet charter needed

I need a quick tutorial on private jet charter. Anyone here have significant knowledge on the subject or know where to direct me? Costs vs size of jet (2-3 passangers plus security german shepherd), who is really safe to use, how it actually works, etc. Not looking for fractional information, just simple jet charter when I need one, which is not often. Avantair has a non fractional option on their Piaggios. I think it may be a fifteen hour minimum over twelve months though. Check out www.avantair.com I have had a fractional interest with them for over four years and I could not be happier. I absolutely love the plane. In my opinion, it blows away every small jet and competes well with most mid size jets. The Piaggio is a tough aircraft to beat from a cost vs. speed and size standpoint.
