i mentioned in another post that i was stripping the crashed 600re down and using parts in a carbon tub to make our own little 1 off supercar.
anyway i thought i would show you the sorry state the gt is in now!

just in case anybody cares the engine etc.. willl power a road going version of this gtp car:

if people where at all intrested i could post updates about how things are coming along every so often, although its not entirely relevant to the forum!
and once again if anybody is after any parts off the car just pm and i will see what i can do, although theres not much left thats not being used or that isnt broken!
there is also the oem car cover (with no bag) i remember hearing somebody was after one . . .

*edit* - i forgot to mention if anybody has any questions about pulling there gt to bits dont be afraid to ask as i have been doing a lot of it.

Bob,

Thank you for allowing us to peek in on your project. Frankly, just because the body may not look like a GT, it still has the heart! :thumbsup

I will look forward to your progress pics.

I wondered what happened to the ebay auction of this car, I am glad to see somebody doing something positive with the wreck instead of just using it for display purposes. Keep us informed.

anybody noticed that the calipers on there car have the aston martin logo on them, because they do on this, and the catch mechanisms for the rear lid have jaguar on them. they do own both them companys but it does seem odd!

Absolutely correct on both. Good reasons why the car came in at 160k, vs developing all specific stuff and it being 200k......

This is the chassis the engine will be pushing along! its an 87' ford mustang gtp carbon fibre chassis my colleagues made, they where ran by roush at the time.

Barely anything goes to waste on a wrecked GT. Once that car is totally stripped, the scrap aluminum is still worth about 65 cents per pound versus a steel car, where you'd have to pay someone to take it. :thumbsup
