$10MM and counting! What were there, 105 F1s? That's a LOT of bread for a car with that many examples made, no? Kinda makes me think that all original GT40s are real cheap in comparison.

Wild. The F1 always seemed to reside in a different performance stratosphere than anything else, and it's performance still measures up today. Designed (supposedly) purely as a road car, and still managed to take the overall win at Le Mans.

If I could have one car...

Me too, brother. The shame of the F1 was that it was priced out of the market for 99% of the buyers from the get go.
What is incredible is how far the supercar world has come in the 22 years since its introduction.

They are running away from me at an Usain Bolt-like pace. I love that car. I really wish McLaren would have used the three place seating arrangement in the new cars.

Still the fastest naturally aspirated car ever made.

I am, I swear, but I'm not very good. I barely eke out a living. I can't believe you quoted my poor grammar. Fix that.

F1 was street. Non-street had other designations.

Beat me to it. Like the GT there will never be another. When you see one in person it is quite awe inspiring. I like to think my 12c has a little bit of the Mclaren magic in it.

I can remember getting a call years ago and someone trying to sell me one, he went on and on about what a great deal it was well under 1 mil. I thought he was nuts to spend that kind on money on a non-vintage Ferrari or Bugatti. I am sure like a lot of us who dreamed of buying cars like the F1 some day, or maybe stepping up and getting a California Spyder just stare at the numbers today in disbelief. That's the part of the market that if you want to talk about going to the moon, that is it. Gone forever, and not ever getting one unless I start playing the lottery. That is definitely the kind of car you can picture being in your wake so people can look at you and your car.

Gulf GT, you are sooo right. I can remember the Ferrari craze of the late 80s-early 90s. Daytonas were eclipsing the million mark, 275s were stratospheric. Even the GT40 MkV Safir cars went crazy, with some approaching $500,000 for a continuation car! Then, WHAM, the air went out of the balloon. We did get a second chance on many of the cars, although at higher initial levels than before. Will the F1 come back to earth? Maybe some of the way, but we'll never see sub $1MM prices again.

Love the F1. I also would like to think there is some F1 in my 12C as well. Really love the car.
