About a month-or-so ago, I tried ordering a TT 3.5 E/B (along with this-and-that other specific thing) in a 'base model', std cab, short box 2017 F-150 thru a friend of mine who's the G.M. of a Ford dealership in a nearby town. 'No could do' no matter
how he banged away at his keyboard. 'Would had to have ordered a 'higher-end'
long wheelbase truck to get that engine (as well as a couple of the other options I wanted). 'Could have ordered the
TT 2.7 E/B in a std cab, short box...but, not the 'biggie'.
'Still would had to have ordered a couple of the options I wanted thru the parts department and then installed 'em post-delivery.
'Big disappointment at the time.
