COTA, Road Atlanta, Road America, and now Laguna Seca. The MK IV is going to collect a full set of records at this rate! Enjoy!

Something wicked this way comes: MK IV build thread

I was hitting the 180 MPH governor (added at Michelin's request because of the car's high downforce) a bit before the descent down the hill. You can hear it on the video. Without the governor, the speed trace suggests 190 MPH at the braking marker.

Something wicked this way comes: MK IV build thread

Well, Road Atlanta was .. insane. I set the GT lap record at the track with the MK IV, met a bunch of nice folks, and had a grand time. More photos are coming, but for now, enjoy the video and a couple of pics:

Something wicked this way comes: MK IV build thread

Correct. There were four mkivs, along with our mkii and multimatic was providing track support.

The GT MK IV is *insane*. COTA now has a sub-2:00 lap from a 2-seat GT car

I just got back from the Multimatic MK IV delivery / track day at COTA and I'm still grinning from ear to ear. Driving the MK IV for my first time today, I set - shattered, really - the COTA GT car lap record by 1.5 2 seconds! The MK IV is superlative - friendly, communicative, and absolutely...

Something wicked this way comes: MK IV build thread

It begins. Livery is complete for chassis #03, build has begun and we're aiming for delivery late in Q1. I'll be posting pictures periodically. It promises to be ... unhinged.

Interesting - I'll be at this year's Daytona 24H cheering on the new Mustang GT3 entry. It might be a good opportunity for an in-person GT group GTG if folks are going to be there?

I'll let you know once we have details. I suspect it's going to be a dedicated session for the MKIV, since it's likely to be ... well, a good deal faster than anything else on track.

I am really looking forward to this bad boy. It should be a monster around faster tracks like COTA or Watkins Glen.

    Full Moon Mood with L204

I really am taken with this car. The driving experience is top notch supercar, and the aesthetics are off the chart.

What have you done with your new Ford GT?

Took a drive for the first time once the rain cleared up. What a sweet car. Reminds me a lot of the MK II, which is a good thing.

Onboard the GT MK II for a lap of Buttonwillow racetrack

I worked with Garen at Multimatic on the livery for the MK II. I always loved the Gulf livery colors, and wanted to try something different than the classic dipped-in-paint nose cone. I also wanted the multimatic logo on the car just as they'd had it for their MK II launch car. After a few...
