    Great Jeffs think alike!

    Wheels and lug nuts

The stock nut for the base wheels is an open nut. I was thinking the upgraded wheel used a closed acorn nut, as they are exposed, unlike the base wheels which are covered by the larger center cap. While the open nuts should work, they have an "unfished look" and leave the ends of the wheel studs...

New headlights for 2005/6MY Ford GT

Maybe a good option for us?

This is the one we take to shows. We can put one behind each seat, with still room for other items. Of course neither of us are that tall, so we don't have the seats pushed all the way back, leaving valuable real estate behind the seats...

Front trunk preformed shell plastic fasteners

Someone on the forum had sets of these for sale a while back. I ordered backups at that time. Maybe Scott in Detroit? May not have any more? Might try searching, if you haven't already. Jeff

Nth Moto test drive in new build Ford GT

Thanks They did tell me of one that had a different angle at the fitting but seemed I could just rotate it in the bracket. Will definitely dig in to that option a little further

Nth Moto test drive in new build Ford GT

Tried several companies in the KC area. They will not touch other people’s units Seems like there was a secondary reason that escapes me at the moment

What did you use for the canister? (sorry, haven't watched the video yet) I know Safecraft will not refill the original canisters, but they seem to have a replacement that I found may work? Jeff

Looking for a low mileage GT

We live in the country and place fresh bounce sheets in several areas when the car sits for the winter. Just have to remember to get all of them out of the engine compartment in the spring. Jeff

    Rear Diffuser

Not sure about now, but back in the day, Stillen had two options available. One was closer to stock length, with another longer option available as well. Jeff

    Rear Diffuser

The rubber version is a nice replacement, but watch out with stock exhaust, as it can melt the tops in spots. They also tend to flap a little at higher speeds. Jeff

    05/06 Power Steering Hose Deterioration

I installed the questionable aftermarket hose last year. My original was pretty greasy on the outside with approximately 26k miles. The fluid itself had been serviced in the past. Checked it today, and with 500 miles on it now, the aftermarket hose was noticeably greasy on the outside as well...

    Ford Racing Exhaust

I believe it may vary with which x-pipe you have. I have the GT Guys' and have minimal drone at one spot that is not in a standard cruising speed/RPM's.

Long Lost GT (sold new from Charapp Ford)

We had a 1970 Buick GS 4spd big block convertible. Rare Buick. I walked in to the small dealership in Iowa at least 30 years after they sold the car. Dealership had changed names, probably owners, but I found a salesman that had been there that long, and he had even married the original...

Getting to radiator fan with ease?

Learned a good lesson the first time I took the screens out. Dropped my only 27 torx bit down through the screen. Needed another 27 to remove the pan to get the dropped bit. Have several #27's now.
