    reverse question

Mine required two hands when new. Now it still takes effort but I can put into reverse with one hand. I suspect it will get easier as you put miles on the car. Eric

Picked up my GT today... loving every mile!

Hello Bill, Glad to hear you and the car made it back safe. I agree, this car Rocks! Photos of the Atlanta meeting are located in the Members GT Gatherings section of the photo gallery. We plan to meet the first Saturday of every month. Sorry I wasn't able to make it over today. The Ford...

EXHAUST UPDATE: FORD RACING VS KINETIC

I used "A" weighting rather than "C" weighting at distance of about 10 feet. "C" weighting is typically used for audio system testing. Depending on the track and the distance to the track measuring device, both of these pipes should be OK. Eric

EXHAUST UPDATE: FORD RACING VS KINETIC

Unfortunately, we did not measure a stock car (mine, for instance) to get a baseline. The 5db maximum difference between Don's and A.J.'s car is significant, when you consider that a 3db difference is a doubling in loudness. I would describe the sound of Don's car (aka, Tungsten) with a...

    Atlanta GT Meeting (pics)

Kirby, Tungsten, Lamboman, Callchuck and myself had the inaugural Atlanta GT owners meeting today. We ate and drank and swapped funny car stories. Lamboman and Tungsten both have modified exhausts on their cars so we decided to use Tungsten's decibel meter to compare loudness. Lamboman's was...

    Ford Race Header/Exhaust

Thats a good idea Doc. If a group buy would get the price closer to the Accufab price, I would seriously consider the Ida exhaust. Eric

    Ford Race Header/Exhaust

You are correct Doc. Barring new evidence to the contrary, I believe the Accufab and Ida pipes are practically fungible, save for price. Eric

    Ford Race Header/Exhaust

My take so far: 1. I believe both Accufab X-pipe and the Ida Automotive pipe lower engine compartment temperatures and, by extension, lower the Intake Air Temperature (IAT). This is due to increased airflow in the engine compartment via reduced blockage. 2. I DO believe Bob Ida spent more time...

    New Accufab GT X-Pipe

Can anyone post photos of the Accufab X-pipe INSTALLED. Particularly photos from the engine bay and from behind (to see how the tips look in the bumper holes). Eric

    Ford Race Header/Exhaust

Hey Beach, Hurry up with that exhaust! :biggrin I was close to pulling the trigger on the Accufab pipe but they are "backordered" currently, so you've got some time. Also, without disclosing anything proprietary, can you tell us how your muffler inserts will work? Will they require extensive...

    Ford Race Header/Exhaust

Although they've produced no data to confirm it, Accufab does claim a temperature reduction of up to 20 degrees in the engine bay using their X-pipe. See the first post in this thread: http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2143 Eric

    Ford Race Header/Exhaust

One point being missed here is, the Accufab and the Ida exhaust BOTH should lower the engine compartment temperatures, because they BOTH reduce blockage and allow better airflow. Therefore, any IAT redcutions due to lower engine compartment temps should be exhibited by both exhaust systems. Eric
