The 2016 -2017 "light weight" was I believe called Competition. This was the one with out electronics AC, and some of the bits that wound up in the Carbon Series, like the lexan rear window. This package ended when the federally mandated back up camera went into effect.

Wow, I remember coming to Troy (SAE presentation perhaps??), and seeing that car for the 1st time. Was very impactful. Was not the 1st we saw, but the 1st finished one (obviously). Fun to think back, and so hard to believe its been that long (heck ours turned 5 this month)..... Man time flies.....

Holy old thread dust off...... Now some ~16 years later..... I have a feeling the biggest challenge will be sourcing the OEM "pocket" piece. The box for the sub while a nice piece, was nothing crazy, that a good car stereo shop could replicate.

Zero hate on Carbon series. Only commenting that the take rate was high (for a good reason). Must be the highest production "series" over a base car. As a lot of you know, we are down with the ECP program, and pretty sure ours is a one off also.

I use my local dealer for parts. Much easier to get them the paper work they need to get parts. Do note this paperwork wile a pain is IN YOUR BEST INTEREST. It really is an effort to prevent 3rd parties form buying up, hoarding, and then reselling parts for profit (and depleting Ford parts...
