Well we have been to Europe 6 times in the last 10 years, and the dedicated GPS, with a larger screen (this is a key detail), up on the windshield, in the field of view, really works for me.

I too have zero issues driving in Paris, maybe the masshole training helped. Only thing that took getting used to is the lane splitting, which now I look for, and will shift over for, with many nods from the 2 wheel group. A biggie for me, bring an actual GPS, as opposed to using your phone...

I personally think LET SIT, and Ive been doing this for 20+ years. Some of our cars will sit for longer than 4-5 months.... Key detail is battery maintenance. Either leave on a tender, or disconnect (at the risk of emission "readiness" when an state inspection is needed).
