Yes, house call. 2 techs came to my house, all work was completed in about 2 hours on 2 GTs. One Tech was an electrical/electronics type tech who handled the canisters replacements and the other tech handled the removal/install of the assembled units. I was very pleased.

I removed the dash panel myself with the help of my son and few helpful hints from Ryan at Cool Tech LLC (thanks Ryan!), not a difficult job at all but does require patience and know where to place your fingers and give a slight tug to dis-engage the retaining clips. I'm no expert by any means...

Fixed wiring method is not a good choice if you plan to move the lift around the garage. Cord connection (SO or SOW type) from the motor to a wall (or ceiling) mounted receptacle may be a better choice :cheers

Very hard to beat a 4 door sport performance sedan M3, that's what the Bavarians do best, and I'm no huge BMW fan (things changed a bit after I purchased my M2 last year, oh mama :biggrin). But for few $$ less than an M3 consider the ATS -V :cheers

Yawza, dealer tech is coming next week to remove this lower dash assembly panel for the passenger airbag replacement (I was planning on removing it myself) but I'm re-thinking that plan now and better let him do it under the "you break it you fix it" premise :biggrin
