    Anyone here buying a C8?

...which will undoubtedly only be available as an option...if at all...and we won't be seeing it for at least a year or two down the road after the car's release either - if it in fact does materialize. We can virtually count on that game being played. 'Base engine will likely be something...

    Anyone here buying a C8?

IMHO, one shouldn't pre-order a car he/she hasn't seen...let alone has no idea knows what engines, etc., might be available. I'm on a dealer's list...have been since 2014...but, per the above, 'not going to place deposit/order 'til I know what's what with the car.

14 year old driving a NFGT

...and here I thought I was pretty 'big stuff' driving my dad's '47 Chevy panel truck to and from our neighborhood 'country store' (to get mom a few items) when I was twelve. (Dad never did find out about that...'far as I know. ;-) )

    GT vs ZR1 1/2 Mile

Agreed. But not as big a diff as the vid appears to show. Look at the vid from 04:09 to 04:26-or-so. The ZR1 virtually disappears? 'Logic dictates the outcome should have been a whole lot closer distance-wise...especially given the 'speed' readout posted. I understand optical illusions can and...

    GT vs ZR1 1/2 Mile

It appears something may not be quite kosher with the vid (or the ZR1 used in it)...either that or auto press reports are off. NFGT according to Car and Driver: Zero to 60 mph: 3.0 sec Zero to 100 mph: 6.2 sec Zero to 130 mph: 10.1 sec Zero to 150 mph: 14.5 sec Zero to 170 mph: 21.4 sec...

    Troublesome Lincoln Question

"The problem is that there have been persistent electrical gremlins. This list is LONG and RANDOM." Get rid of it...by whatever (legal) means work out. Period. Me thinks if you don't, once the warranty expires you'll wish you had.

A very thick pair of rose colored glasses.

'Never been a fan of BoP. I'll say it again: All BoP accomplishes is making the slowest car on the track equal to the fastest/quickest w/o having to ACHIEVE that equality thru R&D in the garage...so to speak. JMPO OMV...and I know some do...

    Paybacks are a bitch

Wifey has a far more pathetic look of 'exasperation' on her face when we walk into the 'Vegas Convention Center during SEMA week. Full truth be told, it's actually more of a combination of that and a 'this-is-going-to-be-a-really-looooooong-boring-day' look. :wink 'Real trooper, she...

Unless I've been handed a line of bull, evidently there are some things that cannot be 3D-ed. 'Tried to have a one-off, nugget-style ring of mine done. 'Was told it was too "intricate". Go 'figger'... :bored

    2019 Rolex 24 at Daytona

'Never understood the "logic"(?!) behind racing in the rain - let alone in monsoon conditions. It's just plain asinine and should not be allowed. 'Extremely hazardous to both life and limb...not to mention the 'health' of the equipment. There's a not-so-thin-line separating macho from madness...

Taking a look at a potential car to buy prior to PPI

...but bear in mind that a 'clear' Carfax report doesn't always reflect reality. Repairs (both body and drivetrain) are sometimes done 'under the radar' on FGTs and many other cars. That's THEE main reason a PPI is a must.
