    GT trivia question

So, other than the couple of non-standard painted cars and possibly the first few serial number cars and last serial number car, are there other unique or future-historically significant GT's (ok to conjecture) ?

    GT trivia question

I can't tell from the photo if that's Gulf blue or Calypso blue but either way looks great. Haven't seen a photo of the Midnight blue & silver car but that sounds handsome. I've always thought that Midnight Blue with yellow (ala Donohue / Sunoco team colors) would look impressive too.

    GT trivia question

Were there any only-blue Heritage paint GT's made - no orange / no roundels?

    source for salvage GT's

Does anyone know of a source for salvage GT's, someone who's collecting wrecked cars for parting out? (No specific need yet - just hoping we'll have places to go as Ford sell out of the OEM parts)

Cutting off at 4500 rpm code p1234

There's alot of solid state (no moving parts) relays out there today. A possible alternative? As mentioned though, we shouldn't forget how nice it is to be able to get a factory electronic part for less than $20. Acura wanted $600 for the window switch module in my old Legend, and I see in the...

    Thanksgiving Wish

You're right. It seems so many times that we don't appreciate what we have until it's gone, whether its material things, our friends, or our health. Here's to a great life and even better times ahead.

What is the significance of this number?

    While we're on the subject, anyone know the meaning of this sticker on the back end of the left head (all comedians are invited to respond);

Sure they got alot right, but...

So who has a theory on how the GT got away without a front bumper, if in fact the fed reg's says they're required? Remember the old Lambo Countach that apparently threw in the towel to an integral solution and bolted on a railroad tie and painted it black?. EEEk! - talk about putting a moustache...

Sure they got alot right, but...

I'm with you on this Ed. I've dinked with and modified cars since before I could drive, and I'm torn with keeping well enough alone on the GT. Fortunately lack of $$$ makes the decision easier, and I've got another fun car that I don't mind playing with.

Sure they got alot right, but...

Wow - that sure got hings stirred up. I didn't intend this to be a GT bashing thread. Getting my car was a 40 year dream come true, and I treat it almost with reverence. My car is completely unmodified - and I realize that every "shortcoming" I whined about could be changed out with aftermarket...

Sure they got alot right, but...

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is immensely satisfied and impressed by the overall execution of the GT project, but at the same time feeling that a few short cuts or concessions (all for justifiable reasons I'm sure - $$$ or meeting production schedules) were taken that shouldn't have been...

Every Ford GT Owner's Original Dream - MUST SEE!

New product idea - a generation from now when all the cars are electric buzzmobiles, someone will have to put that 427 engine audio as one of the selectable tracks to choose on your "road noise" control knob. Can't you just hear that coming up behind you, then see a Smart car in the mirror.

    USA vs CANADIAN

So lets see; the same car, less money, and less than 1/10th the production numbers. Sounds kinda like the makings of the same stories we've all heard before with some muscle cars in the 60's with why-would-you-buy-that features like a bench seat and vinyl roof. Don't you just have to believe 20...

Clear fender guards - just a few left

Sorry for the unintentional embellishment. Someone out there mentioned 160 to me. Either way, glad to hear they're holding up well.

What kind of floor jack can I order for the GT?

another jack option I found this at ASE a few months ago. Check out the DK13HLQ model from AC Hydraulic at the link below. I haven't bought one yet so I can't tell for sure but the quality appears very high and the design looks perfect for the long reach and would work without the need for...

Clear fender guards - just a few left

Earlier this year I posted some info for clear splash shields for our cars to protect the paint just behind the tires. I now have just 4 sets left and I don't plan on fabricating more. If you're interested in more details, do a search on "clear fender guards", select "show posts". It'll be the...

    Warped Vents

yet another AL. louver option AZGT, I've followed through the email tree here and it's obvious you've put alot of time into this project. Hopefully you're getting the response you need to move forward on these louvers. I just wanted to open up yet another option in case you're not getting the...

Is There Anyone Out There with an Unmodified FGT?

I'm thinking that most GT's are totally stock I would bet that more than half, and likely 2/3 of our cars are totally stock. My theory is that only the enthusiasts will want to bother, and of us "true" enthusiasts (if you're reading this you qualify) there's a small contingent like myself who...
