Good decision. I went thru a similar decision after I saw someone ball up a GT at a Shelby event at Road America a couple of years ago. Retired the GT from the track and bought a 993. I think the whole car is less $ than a fender and a headlight on the GT. Now I need to get back to the track.

I recommend Gummi Pflege on the rubber weatherstripping. It really works! Also recommended by BMW. I used it on old wiper blades and they seem to be rejuvenated. Have also used cockpit premium and have the same results as Fracman.

Yes, we did fix it. We had a get together in wisconsin a year ago, and the GT guys figured out, in my case the cross braces bolted to the rear bulk head were the source. Just loosen the bolts, adjust the supports so they didn't rub anywhere, and re-tighten. It seemed like there was a small...

I have another hypothesis, although I think the "low use", and "dead battery" theories have merit as well. Do the people with gauge failures, typically push the start button "before" or "after" the gauge needles cycle when first powered up?
