Working with Chris on the GT program was a real treat - such an enthusiastic, helpful and caring man. We shared the unusual interest in the combination of Fords and Porsches - probably because they are both well engineered cars. I will miss Chris a bunch!

There are quite a few cars in the shop; the 2 you see in the background is a Porsche Outlaw 550 Spyder project that we built a RS60 frame / IRS suspension and 6 cylinder 911 engine with Weber Carbs - That's Dad's project car - we work on it as time permits. Sort of hill climb type car for fun...

It's alot of lightweight actions but really it's the sum of the parts that gets the weight out. The engine itself is certainly a big chunk but other things contribute such as no LTR, no SC pump, no coolant lines front to rear for the SC, No HVAC, no wipers, no air bags, no RCM, no stereo or...

I will contact BBS for sure. We have the wheel now at a paint lab up in Howell. I am having analysis done to figure out what we have and how to replicate. Not giving up yet.

It certainly will be a challenge. I have now tried 5 different silvers and it's not even close. The metallics are all too big. Shelbyelite is correct, quicksilver is not even close. Duplicolor has a "Ultra Silver T191" but again, the metallics are to large. This does however, look fairly...

I have a gallon can of "Quick Silver" and may do a test spray out. I swear it's the right silver for the frame and wheels.....

Does anyone know what the paint code is for the Ford GT factory BBS optional wheel? I have a theory that it is the same as Quick Silver and that it is also the same as the frame silver. Help appreciated. Jim
