To me, stripe delete means side stripe delete, no cost Option 97D from Ford. Interesting question from BSIM27, maybe one/some are out there, anyone know? As we know, plenty of cars with the side stripe tape fully/partially removed by owners.

Well done! Great description by a gifted writer. I remember reading that as well, like you, the words are burned in. The FGT was at VIR then, I can't remember the other cars there, likely a Porsche and F-car. Not that it matters, the FGT was so completely alpha dominant.
