When did you first fall in love with Ford GT40s?

Chip, Apparently Ford sent a GT40 to all their dealers. Even here in Alaska! I used to have a picture of one sitting here in front of John Stepp's Friendly Ford. My Gt350 was sold new at John Stepp's.

Stress cracks in 27K mile, 0 Stories 05 GT

Ed, Joe's car made the 9th GT here, but you are right, they are rarely driven here. But to make Dr Frank happy, the three most driven here are red cars, Well besides Joe's car.

The Ford GT Application Process Begins

When I click on, http://www.fordgtforum.com/2016/04/1...rocess-begins/ ,It takes me to a page but there is nothing like what DBK's post shows. I have tried 3 different computers, all the same. Maybe Alaska is not allow to get one!! lol After all we can only drive it 3 months out of the year!

The Ford GT Application Process Begins

I still see nowhere to apply. At the bottom of the page there is, "Application, Concierge, ford gt", I can click on them, it takes me to, "All posts tagged "Application"", click that and I'm back where I started! Hate it when it just runs me in loops. Hopefully it will work when the load dies...

Think this is what you call a barn find - a project to keep me occupied for some time

I'm going to guess you don't have earthquakes where you are to have that body sitting up there like that! Looks like a great car for a aftermarket frame and a LS engine!

    Fubar's GT Build

Thanks for the cam pictures. I wondered how it was done. I don't see where that metal removal will hurt anything at all.

I've had two, 6S1325 and 6S322, which I still have. 6S322 was sold new here in Alaska. I can't imagine what it must of been like to drive that thing in the winters up here!

    Tango On Ice

Nice.... Ralphie, the last time I saw your car, it was on a ice rink. They did a little sliding around, but no Tango with it. Sorry to hear you had a mishap with it.

    My next car

Ed, Fred is out in Wasilla with his Radio Flyer wagon, plus you won't see him driving it this time of the year. I have only seen it on the road once at a car show.

Finally got me a white w/blue stripes ......

I had a Econoline van years ago, mine had the smaller 6 cyl, but I replaced it with a Boss 302, then later to a 351 Cleveland, both with C4 transmissions. It sure was a lot of fun!! Yours with the 240 would be easy to add a V8 as the bellhousing has the same bolt patteren as the V8. I also used...

Remember the FGt powered Mustang at SEMA?

You don't. That has Kasse heads on it, can't tell what block it is. There were 13 blocks made, most I have seen have been blown up rather badly. The original Hilborn injection is impossable to find and we have EFI on this one, plus no belt drives in 1969. Nice car, but its not a original 494.

    SEMA - my first time

Its my understanding that is a head kit for $19,000. Cool to look at, but to rich for me. $40,000 for a complete engine.
