Who has been to all 3 Rallys?

Being in Scottsdale, had to quote him for the "duhs". The five of us have been all those places too. And they all were a blast and my kids loved them. :thumbsup

    Wow

True. One of the Ford guys said they NEVER sell prototypes. This was an exception. I believe it was related to the charity, but not sure if I heard that or making it up in my head.

    Warped Vents

Just an update for those of you that ordered - the first batch is cast and at the machine shop for clean up. Finally

Did the sound change other than a little louder?

Need paint code for aluminum vents / rear screen

The silver is posted on the forum. When I did the search for "paint code", I saw some information about the silver.

Need paint code for aluminum vents / rear screen

Did a search, but only see car colors, stripes, and under clamshell silver. Does anyone have the name / code for the black that is on the rear screens and front screen (on the 05). I need the code for the aluminum replacement clamshell vents so they match what is on the car. Rather goe this...

    Question on tires

I have that size in the Bridgestones. The rims are a fuzz narrow, but personally I like the look of a little side wall bulge better than the straight side walls.

    JBA headers

Great. I would like to end up with a deeper sound than with the X pipe, but not go for the screaming loud of the FRPP. It may require a muffler of some form. I had actually talked with magna-flow about how to pull the sound deeper, and it does seem to take a muffler with some size (length)...

    JBA headers

See if you can do a sound clip of each - I imagine probably not much different, but would like to know if there is a different "tone" or if they sound the same. Dyno difference will be interesting. Do the JBA have cats or cat delete? Is it complete, or running into someone else's X pipe or...

Crap - Got My First Ticket

:biggrin Yep, one unlucky SOB in A Ford GT - ain't life a bitch? (hey - it rhymes) Actually, I'm am glad it was only the 68. There actually was a BRIEF MOMENT (the ONLY other time I have ever been over the limit) before where I apparently also exceed the limit. It could have been worse...

Crap - Got My First Ticket

Crap - Got My First Ticket

Can you imagine that. 8000 miles in a GT and the one and only time I go over the speed limit I get a ticket. 68 in a 50. Open road - no issue. Just isn't fair. :biggrin Stinking radar hiding off the side.

    Replacement Clam Shell Top Vents

I don't think so. The vents are actually secured against the outside of the clamshell like the stock ones (they lay into the opening on the clamshell and then are pulled down a little). Tough they have "feet" that the studs protrude from, those feet never touch bottom. Probably a good thing...

Okay, I give up. It really should just be the Ford GT40 now

Here is a link to the posting I did about names for the car - was a while ago (March 06), so then I cared, now I don't :biggrin Has some information about several names that Ford was going to call it. http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1170&page=4 The name comes from what...

    Replacement Clam Shell Top Vents

No, they are heavier. The plastic is fairly flimsy / light weight which is part of the problem. Plastic is 177 grams, or 6.3 ounces Aluminum is 575 grams, or 20.1 ounces.

    Replacement Clam Shell Top Vents

NO WARP – EVER AGAIN. Sand-cast out of A-356 aluminum, a high quality aluminum. They look very good, but do remember that that these are sand-cast, not die cast, so they will not be “perfect”. Main difference will be that sand-cast tends to have a slightly rougher surface, but the surface...

    Warped Vents

Ready For Production I am going to post this here just because this is where we have had the warped vent discussion. I will also put a copy in ‘products” so once this moves down the list it doesn’t need to be resurrected. The order is in to start production of the replacement vents. They...

    uh oh

Simple question, but did you have the oil changed recently? Very easy to make a mess if they didn't know what they were doing. All of it would drip onto the belly pans once replaced. I would look more to see where the torex came from. Definitely the common fastner on the GT. naturally one...
