    nope. You'll need to run the drive cycle after putting in the new one, but only if you have emissions and have it coming soon otherwise if you drive it it will run the diags.

    Plug in your Ford trickle charger. It will retain the emissions self tests. Remove frank liner. Disconnect the battery cables. Wrap the positive with electrical tape so it doesn't short to ground. Remember the trickle charger is attached. If you want and it cant hurt if not done, check...

    It's not difficult at all. You do not have to remove the belly pans first. First, the best jacking point is at the center right under the B pillar where the two belly pans meet at a cross bar. The frame meets the cross bar there. There are plenty of pictures of this jack point on this...

    Connect your ford trickle charger (the inside one) before disconnecting the cables. Wrap the positive cable to prevent shorting to ground. This will preserve the emissions readiness tests so you don't have to run the drive cycle

    If you have a recipe for the tach and speedo there is a market for that as the only solutions are originals from Ford (which can fail again) or to replace the entire panel with speedhut. I think Rich (GT Guy) might have a fix for the big ones but it's been pretty quiet about it if so.
