I had a 2009 ZR1 for a while recently, and it was a BEAST ! Had a cool fob controlled exhaust valve that would let you get loud when you wanted to. Like my recent Hellcat, almost too much power to get to the ground until you are in 3rd gear or so. Had a blast with it, and very reliable.

The story continues. Wasn’t running like I thought a Boss should, so I took it to my buddies mechanic who rebuilt his ERA Cobra’s 427 Side Oiler recently. Found a kinked fuel hose, timing off, rev limiter set at 5,500, it had been straining above 5k, now pulls hard to 6,500. Huge difference...

This makes me feel better. Mine is at a new shop, hoping to get it running like it should. Gets to 5,000 rpm and runs out of steam. Will go near 6,000, but from 5-6k takes a while. Noticed some slop in the distributor cap seating, and that could be several degrees of timing. I know it will...
