I agree. I only have a 2 car garage, and my car partner a 2 car with 1 stacker. We only have room for 1 fun car each. After 3 years of little use, afraid of the crazy drivers around Dallas, the thought of adding another $2400 a year for storage on top of insurance helped with our decision...
Picked up the C8 on Tuesday morning at the Museum, and that whole experience was really fun. Private tour, car sitting on Corvette Blvd. inside the Museum on live feed so friends were watching. Standing ovation from everyone there as you pull out.
The car feels as fast as my 2009 ZR1 Vette...
6 months is a long deferred. You must have been moving along.
I have had a 3 month deferred, and one time a 1 month.
Remember to put it in your calendar, as I waited until the last day to send in my stuff, and almost blew it.
I sold an '05 2 option blue / white stripe, 9,000 mile GT, for $275k at a dealer and netted $260k. Had a serious buyer at $275k off the Forum, but went away after a PPI. My car was listed for sale on the forum for a good 4-5 months, and had 3 serious inquiries during that time. It's just...
We are doing the Museum Delivery for a C8 Vette sometime in mid November. LT2, front lift, no magnetic suspension. Elkhart Lake Blue with Natural interior. Going to stop at a college friend's place in Memphis on the way back, and hit Graceland.
Hopefully there will be some fun machine in...
Someone on the forum made some rubber trays for holding coins / phone, that went right below the radio. Very handy. That, the low profile wipers, and taking off the wipers, were the three best mods I did, besides the Bridgestones.
Well she sold yesterday. They got $275k and I got slightly less than that.
I realize now that a major car purchase like this makes people nervous. One serious buyer was concerned about putting the car in escrow while the payment is received. A dealer, with it's financial side, eases those...
Looks like Chris Parr and the Crescent Classic are taking place.
Always an amazing group of rare vehicles involved on some of the best driving roads you can find.
No he is not GT focused, and have no idea how many he has done.
I just know from the detailed PPI and photos that he was thorough. Their main mechanic, Michael, is a longtime Ferrari / exotic specialist, and has worked on some very valuable cars, repairing and restoring. They have been...
See if these will open.

The 1971 Stage One was ordered by a US serviceman, and delivered to Germany. Ugly brown interior with bench seat and column auto. Lots of torque.
The 1966 was at...
I'm a Buick man as well. First car was a 1966 Skylark Gran Sport 401 Nailhead. Great in first but when the powerglide shifted to second around 65 it just went blah. Later owned a 71 Stage One Convertible for a short time.
Good luck on your search. My blue/ white GT is still on the market in...
I went ahead and took the GT to Lamborghini Dallas, who have sold cars for me before. I think when you get into this price range, people feel better buying from a dealer.
Here's the link to the ad...
I called Tire Rack, and the guy was able to put me on hold, and check on the specific tires I was buying. All showed 2019, and that's how they arrived.
Thanks for the good advise out there ! I am working on an appointment with a GT mechanic at Ford to do the power steering hose replacement, as well as new rubber boots around the toe links and ball joints. Other than new struts for the frunk, that's it. Ordered new Bridgestones from Tire Rack...
