    Ford executives custom GTs?

Andy, I don't recall anything special with the Krispy Kream car. Dave Baer and I were the build team that put it together. What WAS special was that every day for 2 weeks, a truck pulled into the shop and delivered 10 dozen K K donuts to us. Pig Out Time. I have not even looked at K K donuts...

    Ford executives custom GTs?

Thanks for the info Mr. Ressler. It's pretty much common knowledge of the 2 "one of one" cars (sonic blue and Willie G's silver/w orange strip highlights) but your car is a new revelation to GT history for most of us. In the 3 years I was on the program, I only took 2 weeks vacation (not...

    Ford executives custom GTs?

The number we heard at Wixom was in the 350K range for Sonic Blue. Not sure if there were buyers - sellers fees involved. Personally, I think Sonic Blue was the best looking GT to ever see the light of day. I took some neat pictures of it pre and post Wixom build. To my knowledge, no cars with...

    Ford GT on Cranky Ape

Not my car. I just noticed the radar detector while looking it over. The head lights were just laying in a pile with the rest of the parts. When I explained what they cost to replace, the guy just shrugged. The great unwashed I guess. Whoever had it before must of owned stock in a tie strap...

    Ford GT on Cranky Ape

Was that high dollar radar detector still in it when you got it? I'll bet you wore out a pair of cutting pliers cutting all those tie straps holding the car together. lol

    Ford GT on Cranky Ape

Andy, I knew after looking at that car that someone one was going to get a deal. Most of the dis-assembly work was already done. Good pick up my friend.

    Ford GT on Cranky Ape

Looked at the car. If it does not get much higher, (121) someone will get a smoking deal. Other than the damage shown, it looks real good. No signs of frame or suspension damage, no marks on wheels (new Bridgestones) and has some upgrades. I talked to the guy there who drove it around. Said it...

    Ford GT on Cranky Ape

I'll take a look at it on Tuesday, as it's only a few miles down the road. I'm sure they won't let me take things apart to check for frame damage, but I'll do the best I can. Looks like a lot of parts are included with the car. This is the car I posted about a while back.

    Front Marker Lights Are Cracking

I had to replace a rear marker light on a friends GT. Went right down to local Land Rover dealer and got the part. In stock (actually had a few in stock) $5.00 cheaper than the Ford dealer. (none in stock)

    Unofficial Rally Events

AMEN to that Tim ! Unless your a tourist who has never seen it, avoid the "Strip" at any time of the day. It's not to bad around 3 AM, but that's when they do any construction or maintenance on the road.

Great Product To Remove Track Rubber Marks From Your GT

There is a product we used in drag racing called "Burn Out Guard" It was developed by a fellow racer, and worked real good. You sprayed it on prior to hitting the track, and built up rubber just wiped off afterward. It was available in the mid west, but not sure if you can still get it. Maybe...
