    Ford Racing Exhaust

I had all my Borla exhaust external seams rewelded by a competent local shop. My catalytic converter also cracked, probably from the stress of my amatuer installation of the Borla muffler. Looking for a low mileage GT

Why use a trickle charger (or Maintainer) on a potentially weak (or dead) battery? Use a conventional charger with a greater than 2 amp output. Some maintainers will not even power up if they detect a battery voltage below their design threshold.

Tampa Florida area service techs? costs??

Rick at Sarasota Ford is very good (Sinovac approved). Certified for FGT and NFGT. Extremely thorough and clean. Rick is Sarasota Ford's Master Tech so they keep him very busy. If you decide to go there start negotiating for an appointment soon. Prepare yourself for dealer prices.

Looking for a low mileage GT

Updates on your 2005-2006 Ford GT, What have you done lately?

Yes, I needed a dent repair guy. He did a perfect job, but I had to remove the inner fender for him, a miserable two-hour job. The good news is two months later I hit a deer at 70mph and needed a new fender anyway (thanks Rich!).

Don't trust fender padding. I did, and still dented the fender with my elbow.

New Owners: Insure Axle Bolt Upgrade has been Performed!

I think 2007 was too early for the second, correct, Ford fix. Others will chime in to identify the clues as to whether you have the first (incorrect) fix or the proper second.

Jacking pucks to lift FGT to change tires

When you do that (as above ^^^) the second side will have reduced clearance for the jack. Plan on shallow ramps before you lift the first side.
