That Photobucket watermark really ruins all the pictures. It's very distracting and blurs the images.

I also use the similar one-piece long Raceramps to get my 06 FGT onto my Bendpak HD9W hoist. The metal ramps included with the Bendpak are too steep to clear the long front end of the FGT. I use the Raceramps to enter my car trailer also.

Favio, be careful about "any Ford Dealer can change your oil." I had a bad experience with a "qualified Ford GT mechanic". Caught him syphoning the oil out of my dry sump tank because he had over filled it and didn't know what a dry sump was. He overfilled the tank by adding only 1.5 quarts...

I would think this would open Ford up for a law suite for distracting the driver and causing an accident.

If something doesn't work as designed, I've always found slamming it or using a large hammer usually fixes it. I would never adjust anything to be within spec and function as designed.

Clint, Did you buy the Mickeys or Avons? Lots of Mickey styles and tread designs to choose from.

Agree with 2112. When you drain the tranny, it doesn't drain the cooler completely.

Ron, Never use DOT 5 brake fluid in the Ford GT as you suggested above. Only use DOT 3, 4 or 5.1. The DOT 5 is silicone fluid and will ruin your brakes. The other DOT formulas are synthetic. There is a huge difference between DOT 5 and DOT 5.1. Otherwise, nice summary.

Yes, interesting, but I wonder instead of using his mineral oil at his -30C (-22F), how the new synthetic 5-50 oils would have done or even 5 weight oil. I used 5 weight dinosaur oil in Colorado with my Toyota 22R engine sitting outside all night at -40F and it started and ran well.

I sold my originals with 10K miles and 10 years on them at a car show to a hotrodder. He was super excited to get them even though I told him they weren't the safest to use anymore and he may not find a tire shop that will mount them.
