Tall GT Drivers - A Solution

I did have a E36 fully prepped M3 that I used in the 2000's but got rid of it. I don't want to do much tracking in the GT, maybe few times a year. Getting back out there for a second time isn't worth it unless I can invest time/resources into sitting in the car properly and with proper harnesses.

Should or Must do's for tracking GT.... + prep

Im needing to look into a way to sit better in the GT on the track. The stock seat is fine if your well under 6" tall and I found that I had to sit my ass on the under thigh support of the seat, so knees too close to the dash and just awful for spirited driving....like a bench seat for ass...

Tall GT Drivers - A Solution

Hi Gary. Would love to see the work you did on the track seats (your pics are dead) Can you repost the pics? Im struggling to fit in the GT with helmet on and need a more comfortable solution than the mega slouching I have to do with stock seats. Stock seat leaves me not "in" the seat and...

    Ford GT oil change procedure

Do you prefer the engine to be pretty warm for the dumping of the old oil, or cold ok? I'm about to add your set up to my cars first "at home" oil change. How tight do you torque up the Fumoto valve to the canister. Stuart

    Brembo Two Piece Rotors

Specracer..... How many track days did that take to change. Would've thought the paint was more stable than that. Was it all corners (mine was really only rears that changed) Gold looks nice actually..

    Brembo Two Piece Rotors

Heres the Pagid yellows that are for serious track work and when hot are AMAZING in bite/feel. Still fine for street use. I bought the titanium shims, but on the new Pagid yellows I couldn't get them to slide in (only needed 1mm per rotor to fit them in) so couldn't used them for the first...

    Removing the Cats

I added the accufab pipe to the car after doing some short driving with just OEM cats exiting all the gas/sound.... It was loud but deep and sounded like a big capacity V8 with some off shore boat weight to it Even the Accufab thats pretty minimal in restriction muted it down alot once I put it...

change oil in ford gt 2005

Brilliant, advice. I'm putting that quote on a shirt. I ordered Kendalls oil drain kit months ago and months before that ordered a new oil pressure sending unit and they cant be found any place so back ordered till who knows when...

I have my charger unit plugged in on the ceiling so hangs down to car/s. I ran the short connectors to the batt terminals close on that side.... zip tied it to nearest point on radiator exit and plug in after every drive....

Updates on your 2005-2006 Ford GT, What have you done lately?

My idea to keep shifter cool.... + it has a good use when turned the other way at times .

    Ford GT Review

Thought the GT's initially might come under a special exemption from going to RHD, but I guess not rare/significant enough. So if I get back to Aust one day (thats my plan) I might have met the 30 year rule by then and can stay LHD. The new GT will qualify as a speciality vehicle so you think it...

Harry's Lap Timer and OBDLink MX+

I bought the same thing as I had the track day coming up and wanted to potentially use it. I never did as I was having issues getting my GoPro to be a pip set up in Harry Lap Timer and just lost time to play with it (and never got Harrys working well) I remember having issues like you with...

3.90 ring and pinion (available again)

I think that run was at Nardo and was about your number (either side of 210) and ripped of tanks of gas at max speed. imagine the concertration. Actually looking at my 150mph story the 3:90 GT could easily be quicker as its doing 6,500rpm at 150 (approx.) v's stock doing 5,500rpm (approx.)...

3.90 ring and pinion (available again)

Currently trading emails with John at https://hcfautoparts.com about the GT 3:90 set up. He sent me some graphs and will post them if ok soon. Was the top speed on the GT about 205mph ...if so that would be about 6,000rpm in 5th? A 3:90 would get to 7,000rpm in 5th at abut 200mph... so pretty...
