    Transmission cooler maintenance

Question on trans oil change intervals I had a 3:91 put in back the end of July 2022 and have average about 1,000 miles per year........ probably done about 2,500-2,750 miles on the 3:91. Wondering if the few hundred miles I do at Sebring per year would speed up trans changes and if the new...

05-06 Ford GT Transaxle Fluid Change Kit

I have a 3:90 trans that I had Jason Heff put in last summer (done a couple track days and 1,000+ miles in that time...amazing new drive feel) So is it of more importance doing a trans oil change with this new configuration V's the every 3 years period ? FWIW....I also have the Cooltech trans...

    Love it? Drive it!

Rocket you've given yourself smiles galore and many cars gawking at at the GT's lines... Well done. As I pulled of the track (Sebring) back in April and noticed the 10K mark pop up.

Updates on your 2005-2006 Ford GT, What have you done lately?

Scott , I think specified a ride height by using the jack points as a place to measure. He presets them to the height you can communicate with him depending on how bad your roads are or whatever particular look your after For some reason mine had to be set a little bit lower than what the...

    Clutch and Brake Fluid

I'll do a bleed on the brakes and add a little fresh stuff for sure. The clutch seems fine and not getting the abuse like the fluid in the callipers is getting......... but could squirt a bit out Saying that Jason Heffner replace the changed out 3:90 trans pretty recently so clutch fluid should...

    Clutch and Brake Fluid

I did that for the fronts.... the rears 3D printing design is a few stages away from bolting on (OE bolt locations) Its location sits up in the low pressure recessed bit of the under tray that would crash in the rear tire. Then the flex pipe would head up onto the under belly tray and then...

    Clutch and Brake Fluid

The GiroDisc set up that Scott sells is way better for the GT if you've got your hustle on. Better vane design and about 4lbs lighter per corner. I did make a air scoop set up for the front brakes that directs air to the brake/hub so not sure how effective its on temps but my hunch its a decent...

    Clutch and Brake Fluid

I just finished a track day at Sebring and use the Castrol SRF for brakes/clutch and its been in there for 3 years (4 track days) At this Sebring event it began to be too slow on initial brake bite late in the day, so called it quits (disconcerting feeling) and threw it on the trailer and...

Jacking pucks to lift FGT to change tires

Heres the location of the mid point inner jack points. I added some chopping board pads. if the car was stock in ride height Id say my long reach would get to them.

    Amelia Island Ford GT1

I wish my friend had a sent me more photos of this stunning GT1 It does look amazing. Some lucky bastards going to buy these Seems like they’re going to be one hell of a handful to drive on the track. I think many of us would put our hands up for a couple of casual laps at part throttle.

Whys every other bolt missing under my rocker panel......?

I bought these (might use them) I liked the dog point tip for ease of install... little shorter by 2.5mm the stock It would be nice to visually see the bolts better with this colour/size Vs the hard to see OE ones. Might add a rubber washer as not to mark the panels as the washers is larger then...

Whys every other bolt missing under my rocker panel......?

Their a Torx #30 head M6 x 30mm dog point Doesnt come with the washer (weird it should) and the washers on the car are a weird size...ID is 7mm (.28 inch) and OD is 15.85mm (.62 inch) x 1.93mm (.07 inch) thick. I found something pretty close on line but you have to buy 100 of them I think they...

Whys every other bolt missing under my rocker panel......?

i’m not 100% sure but I think originally years ago the dealership must’ve lost half a dozen of the Torx 27 x 25mm under body panel bolts and decided to take three from the side skirts on each side (Torx 30 x30mm) to replace the lost ones? They located the stolen ones in the final three holes...

Whys every other bolt missing under my rocker panel......?

Ive got a pack (4 in a pack) ordered but 2 of them are for the radiator shroud bolt down (thanks to Northwood GT for part #W705469S424) Seems like another order will be needed. Love to know what happened to the originals (assuming they ever got put in)

Whys every other bolt missing under my rocker panel......?

I just noticed that every other rocker bolt on both sides is missing. In the manual it shows that there should be "14 required" (page 501-03-7) I took one out and their a Torx 27 M6x30mm (washer & dog point) Happens to be I think the same as the 2 I need for the upper radiator shroud...

MOTORCRAFT changes transmission oil from SAE 75W-90 to 75W-140

PeteK. How often in time or miles are members doing engine and trans oil changes. Most owners probably drive 500-2,500 miles per year. I could see a 500 mile per year car doing a engine change every 2-3 years and yearly for driven cars not sure on the rules for trans change.
