    parts

I poked around the suspension few years ago and spotted toast boots all over the place. Ordered new boots and set off replacing. I did the lower arm on suspension and toe links back in Feb 2021 Just the other day I noticed the inside toe link boots have a fatigued look to the outer...

    New crate engine

Terrible argument A heavy iron block can negate the light weight alloy with a skinny driver. No fat guys should use a cast iron bock... for performance reasons im saying.

  7. HOOKED ON GT

    Stock rotor Vs Girodisc....

Street use cars would probably have no issues with rings/boots lasting for ages. I ordered "high temp" version for a couple bucks extra + brake assembly lube. Also ordered JoJoy brake caliber press to seat the new boots + a "4 uncles" brake bleeder/extractor/filler bottle that runs via...

Doug Demuro doing track laps in his FGT and CGT

Still have my 2000 M5 (50k miles) and was my first track day drive car back in early 2000's. Looks like a low grip track.

    Shocks

Once I did the suspension I wanted a alignment done. A friend that has a BMW shop said he seemed to have issues with many shops quality of their work. He sent me to a shop he liked. Boy it was not a new shop and in a sus area. This guy was 100 and had to drive the GT onto two ramps that half...

The 1st pic was taken 28" from the floor (tire height). A 3/4" piece of wood just sits flat on the tire and just clears the arch.

    Stock rotor Vs Girodisc....

Got quicker as I got each one done. The 44mm boots seemed harder to seat. The rear outer section of the caliper must get a bit hotter.

Updates on your 2005-2006 Ford GT, What have you done lately?

I was noticing the setting you had was way higher than mine.... maybe a few inches? My ring collar is probably about 1/2" from the bottom thread to get a 4" underbelly clearance on stock rims and BStone rubber. Scott thought that was weird how I had to drop further to get his 4" number Great...

    Stock rotor Vs Girodisc....

got 4 sets of these. I upgraded to the high temp version. Im guessing the stock stuff wasn't a high temp product. https://autobrakesolutions.com/products/2007-2014-ford-mustang-brembo-caliper-rebuild-kit-141-03005-k0305-silicone-boots?rq=yr_2006~mk_ford~md_gt

    Stock rotor Vs Girodisc....

Im measuring the piston sizes today. So far I know the larger rear piston is 44mm wide so the general rule (info on Zeckhausen Racing site said) says is that boots will be 10mm larger (54mm would be the order size) Not measured the smaller piston as I'm having trouble retracting the larger...

    Stock rotor Vs Girodisc....

Having a hard time finding out what caliper/s the GT uses. I know it's Brembo but I don't know what the caliper/s part number/s are.

    Stock rotor Vs Girodisc....

Finally added the Girodiscs to the rears... The OE rears had cracks that pushed me to upgrade But rear piston seals look toast.......time to parts surf or just chat to local dealer.
