    Mercedes SLS AMG

I drove one once when they were new. Same grunt from V8 as a 05/06 FGT. It’s a German front/mid engined muscle car. Just didn’t do anything for me styling wise. Hard to like it if you own a FGT.

Updates on your 2005-2006 Ford GT, What have you done lately?

This guy had lots of seat miles in my 2005 FGT...rallies, car shows, or just driving around. Sadly, he had to be put down two days ago due to widespread cancer. We had 12 great years together. I’m going to miss my navigator dearly.

What have you done with your new Ford GT?

I’m attending Keels and Wheels in Seabrook, Texas, south of Houston. The best concours in Texas. I brought the Mk II at the invitation of Tony Hamon. The main display is Ford vs. Ferrari. The movie repli-cars are on display including the Cobra driven by Matt Damon in the movie. Had a...

Any carrera gt owner ? In our ford gt community

I have 10k miles of seat time in a CGT. Great cars. The V10 wail is like F1 used to be. Expensive to service. Engine out service is necessary to adjust solid lifters. That‘s a min $30k. plus maybe cost of a clutch. Debatable if “engine out“ is on miles (30k) vs time (3 years). First...

    Mark II

I've done about 6-8 hours of motor time. Roughly 4 track days. Last event was cancelled at COTA due to "Snowpocalypse" in February. Will be doing some stuff at my local track soon. Had it serviced at a MM authorized race shop in Austin. It's ready to go.

The latest FGT being auctioned on BaT

People are spending money like drunken sailors right now. Pent up and bored from the pandemic combined with cheap money. I'm as guilty as the next guy having added a few cars myself.

Thank you for posting, comrade 😂 Dr. Frank could translate for us also. Good use for an old Lada in this experiment.

Rich is putting Ahlman 2 ways on my 2005 as part of its refurb. Stock shocks were toast after 57k hard miles.

    Merkur?

First car I bought out of medical school. 1986 XR4Ti. I was an intern at Parkland hospital in Dallas, Texas. It got totaled in a chain reaction, 6 car, fender bender 4 years later. Unitized body. Definitely a cool car. Called the Sierra Cosworth in UK. I was just looking at them on line...
