No it was a communication fault. No odometer reading and PCM didn't recognize the key was on or button was pushed to start. Hill assist is part of traction control ABS.

Paul, mine had a intermittent no crank but had hill assist warning and no miles displayed on the cluster. It was a relay in the distribution box back at the engine compartment. Diagnosed and repaired myself.

Air bag lamps are warranted for 5 years or 50,000 miles by the manufacturer. Depending on the start date it might still be under warranty.
