Rich Brooks aka The GT Guy LLC and I started work on this one immediately. Should be done next week.
The tires are sticky. Very sticky. The aero tunnel behind the front wheel moves a lot of air, and also a lot of pebbles, rocks and dirt. This was the GT at Autorama this year that had seen a lot of hard driving and track action.
Those are chips. Ouch. Clear bra will stop a lot of that. But for times you just want to tool around and go to a show or something, and will not be wailing on the car at high speed, here you go:
Virtually invisible.
Final iteration will be powder coated black to match the painted cf panel behind it, so unless you're close up you shouldn't see it. Small enough to stop damaging stones without totally eliminating all airflow.
NOT to be used for high speed as it will alter the aerodynamic properties of the car. Uses the existing 2 bolt locations, so pops in and out very quickly if you're heading to the track or plan on exceeding legal speed limits. :wink This will provide a substantial measure of protection for the visible side lower carbon fiber components, as well as the painted door surface just above it.
