Does anyone know if the McIntosh head unit has CeNet and is compatiable with Clarion. I'm thinking a cd changer and a sirius radio adapter. Any info would be appreciated.

John,
Your best option would be an aftermarket head unit. I seriously doubt that you'd find any acceptable place to mount a CD changer unless you're thinking about making it a single-seater. The aftermarket is full of stereos that have iPod and sirius capability. (FYI - the back of the Mac has RCA jacks which you can use as an iPod-in... although you will still need to use the iPod for song selection, etc.)
Someday in the not too distant future, our friend Kip is supposed to be coming out with a double-DIN CF center pod that would let you add a full-on video/nav unit with sirius, iPod, etc..
JC, Mac makes a mating CD changer. Go to their website. No optical inputs, only RCA plugs for right and left.
Does anyone have a picture of the back of the McIntosh unit showing the connectors?
John
John it is rather basic
The back has the following;
One solo plug with the OEM wiring interface
One antenna receptacle
One hardwired cable that goes to a blue connector above and behind the radio bezel that is awkward to get to
Two typical female RCA plugs with rubber boots over them and taped to the harness
I hope that this helps
Now FYI you can slide the radio out easily to access the RCA plugs
I will look for other pictures as I suspect that I have pictures from one of the project gals however in the meantime here is one picture of the female RCA connectors behind the head unit.
All the best
Shadowman
Yeah it does. This is what they have on the McIntosh site for a MX604.

Apparently Mac has finally upgraded the radio since they sold all the "old" units to Ford.
actually the MacIntosh "rear end" from the FGT as Shadowman states looks like this....

backup mac on "file":thumbsup
Thanks guys. I'm with you shadowman on the upgraded McIntosh MX 604. If you can get a lot more input functionality then I think it would allow you to put in a cd changer and even a sat radio. :cheers
