Is There Anyone Out There with an Unmodified FGT?

Mine is totally stock with 12K smiles on it. I have a 99 Ply Prowler, 04 Corvette Lemans Commemorative, 03 Chev SS pu, 00 Lightning, MB SL, 82 Vette Collector Ed., 00 Dakota R/T and they are all stock. I just prefer them that way, but to each his own. I have seen durability decreased by performance mods too often in my 52 years. Not that I am keeping any of them for "collector items" or "Barret-Jackson candidates" in 20 years, but which would you rather have.....a totally stock 67 Shelby Mustang, 435 Vette, Boss, etc. or a modified one?........I'm just sayin'.

There are many, many totally unmodified GT's out there. Most of those owners are not members of this Forum. I suspect some multiple GT owners who are Forum members have a totally stock GT. I have one which I rarely drive which only has the axle bolts and SCT Tune. The tune increased the stock RWHP from 519 to 559. :cheers

I also have a completely stock black with silver stripe Canadian car. Still original air and originla axle bolts! I know they have been recalled. It will be fixed this summer when the dealer has time to pick up the car by trailer take to his shop repair and bring it back by trailer. Only 27 miles on her.:biggrin

Full Stock

My Blue / white stripes 2006 #0541 is 100% stock. Original air in tires, red balance dots --but I have added the Accufab bolts. I was afraid to come all the way out to Scottsdale and Newport Beach for Rally II without the fix.
No Trans cooler or other adds.

See, there are a few of us around. Nice to see some of us are keeping the ladies in their original dance outfits. AJB, PM me, I have the answer for the red dots.

My red dots are restored!

I don't think mine sounds like a Honda??? Although I am not around too many Hondas!

Prowler, I have the same mind set. Just sold a 2001 Pristine GTS viper and everyone who was interested in it, specifically made the comment that they were looking for an original stock unmodified auto. So it does have some merit staying original, however, I wil never sell this GT, never!

I went to a central coast version of cars and coffee on Saturday near Pismo Beach and there was another GT (06 midnight blue wht stripes) bone stock and the owner said he knew of a couple of others in our area who had stock GT's that unfortunately rarely leave their garages.

Mentioned the Forum and he heard of it, but never posted. So I agree with the earlier post that some of the stock people don't post/not Forum members.

Mine is still stock also, but we did talk for an hour about the pulley upgrade, bumper delete and the transaxle cooler. He requested more info so I sent him some links and told him I was taking mine to Kendall in August for the pulley upgrade/transaxle cooler. He made me promise to bring my GT back and take him for a ride once I finished the upgrades. :biggrin

Add me to the list of the woeful few who haven't done anything. Haven't changed bolts yet,and still have original oil. ( Actually planning to schedule that work in the next few weeks. )

I did " install " some non-Ford " Ford " floor mats from Walmart. Does that count?

I am afraid a lot of you guys are in whole different league from us " stockers".

I also have a totally stock '72 Pantera - try finding one of those that hasn't been modified, and an un-restored stock '68 Shelby GT500. Both of these cars are available for the right price. Might give me some dough to do some modifcations!

I think a lot of mods are done with the So Cal guys, we get to see a lot of cars that have mods and ride in them and then are wheels in our own heads start to spin because the modded cars are so F...ing cool.

I also like all you guys that say you have not done any mods then come back with..well except this or that. Even the floor mats are mods and yes can be taken out and back to stock again. I also say if your keeping them stock because you think they will be worth more I don't think that will matter unless you keep it for 40 years but remember everything can be brought back to stock. I am not selling mine so it might as well sound bitchen, you can not convince me the stock ones sound good.

I really believe there are more stock ones out there then ones with mods. I believe you hear a lot about the mods on this site because we all love our FGT so much. IMO :thumbsup

A totally stock PANTERA!

Wow. I will admit, that does get me excited.

One of my neighbors used to race cars. His son had a Pantera when I was in high school. It used to sound like an aircraft landing when he would come home late at night. Definitely not stock.

I would usually cut my engine, '70 Pontiac GTO, at the top of the hill and coast into my driveway in a hopefully slightly stealthier fashion...

'05 1375 is still stock with the exception of the Accufab bolt upgrade and a couple of stickers on the windshield. I'm still waiting for the boss (wife) to approve a purchase order to cooltech. This is taking way too long. :confused

In case Shelby #18 doesn't read or respond to this thread, his Blue GT is totally stock................. except for the following modifications :biggrin:biggrin GTX1, Butterfly doors, lowered, aero, shocks, exhaust, wheels, tires, dashboard, instrument panel, console, carbon fiber interior and exterior pieces, TRUNK, seats, full interior, carpet, mats, shifter, flag painted on the passenger air bag cover piece, whipple, trans cooler, fire supression, keys, plus other stuff I have overlooked and of course some secret stuff. Rick's X1 has to be the most optioned GT in the World. It is personally tailored to Rick's taste and in a word, breathtaking. Seeing his car in person is another reason to not miss the Rally :cheers
