Staying with the spirit of that old phrase " Necessity is the mother of invention" I had to come up with some rock deflectors.
After returning from a rally I was sad to see my freshly Clear Bra film under my door sills and my Ford GT logo had taking a beating.. so after a slight Delay from dealing with hurricane issues it was off to the Batcave.
What I ended up with was two versions of a rock deflector. One I would call a full air flow setup the other I would call the maximum safety Rock deflector setup. The larger one covers the full width of the tire and intrudes partially into the tunnel area...
Because of the close proximity of being directly behind the tire I really don't think this is going to have much effect on the air flow. I'll probably stay with this setup full-time. But if you do want to change it takes a matter of minutes to Swap them.
These install in minutes using the factory wheel well liner push pins. They are reusable and there's no need to remove the tire. I did the passenger side in less than 3 minutes. The only installation tool required is a interior type plastic pry tool.
This is the first prototype set. I'm going to test the converge. Because the car will drop 2 " you need to leave some space to allow for that. There are pictures in the high mode and the low mode...
Just doing my part to try to help tame this the rock-throwing monster!!..:biggrin
