For us low mileage folks (mine around 2500) is a replacement fuel filter In order, now that these cars are circa 10 years old? or is cycle change time driven by mileage?
Unless the car is modded and the AF ratio and dutycycle is near max...., if that's the case, for peace of mind, perhaps should be more frequently, and especially before any Mile-type events.
The fuel filter replacement is a difficult procedure because of its location. The GT Guys have developed a modified tool and a technique for allowing a relatively quick replacement. If you are anywhere near due for a change and the Guys are around (Carlisle?).......
I got a little worried after 65,000 miles so I had Rich & Denis replace it a couple of years ago. Never had a lack of fuel flow though. Probably would still be working OK if i would have left it in! More likely, it's where you buy your gasoline and what their storage tanks are like. California mandated replacement or compliance with Health and Safety Code Section 41950-41962 by the end of 1998, so most of our tanks are fairly new.
