Well after resisting since they came out, I finally succumbed to the pressure from the family. We considered several colors, but when the ruby red was announced, it became the only choice. All the colors of the truck tie in together nicely. So far, paint guy magic is done, some xpel, as well as some other subtle tweaks are done, or underway. So far, outside of the gas mileage (being very light and getting 13.5) its a wonderful truck, and was able to find one in time for it to be a 2013 biz expense (not as easy as it sounds)

You'll love it...I have 45,000 miles on my 2010. Nothing like it on the road...except for another Raptor.

Have a new 'poor man's Raptor in the family. F150 FX4 with the Raptor's 6.2L V8 (new this year). Damn thing gets about 3 mpg combined better mileage than the EcoBoost F150 that it replaced! Driveability is awesome!

Really? First 800 miles my avg is 13.5. The dash is consistently reminding me to drive lightly.

my F-150 ecoboost (2013 with 43,000 miles) gets 16.5 mph ( on the dash computer). I was told that I get that lower gas mileage cause I have the MaxTrailerTow package with the higher ratio rear axle...
What should I get ? I ordered another Ecoboost for 2014 ...

Is 16.5 a combined cycle or highway value? Didn't get anywhere near that with the EcoBoost 4WD 3.73 axle.

Overall I love my F150 eco-boost. The towing power is amazingly good. I was frequently towing my enclosed trailer with either a vette or Mustang to/from Las Vegas area (Spring Mountain) and I could easily maintain practically any speed I wanted even through the mountain passes. However, as good as the power is - I have been consistently unimpressed with the fuel mileage. I get 10mpg even when towing. Not towing at 75-80mph speeds I am 15mpg at best. As a commuter, my combined city/freeway is likely in the 15's. 16mpg at best. With all the hoopla, I DID expect more. But, I think a LOT of the poor freeway mileage is that we drive fast and the F150 is a pretty big brick to move through the air. Again, overall I like the truck a lot - much better than the 2009 Silverado Diesel it replaced.

Rex - the 16.5mpg is the 'overall combined' that shows up on the "mileage Info screen" on the Instrument Panel .
I do drive a lot more expressway than local however.(since I have put 43,000 miles on the truck in 14 months)

My experience too. the Eco boost is a great tow truck!. Better than my previous V-8's... I am having a new eco boost F-150 built on Jan 20th. I am going back to the RazorBlue from the Ruby Red... sorry all you RED lovers out there (Frank)

And how many miles did you put on your GT in 2013?

Jeff - Yeah , It was a sad season for the FGT. Maybe only about 700 miles... I am up to 8000 on the ODO...
I will never be able to compete with you and Ralphie and some of the other beastly drivers out there....

I did not know they made it in that color! I have almost 60k miles on mine. I drive it from Sacramento to San Francisco regularly, and love it. My Son in SF has my Fiesta. When I get to the City, I switch to the Fiesta, for easier parking.

So bed liner was sprayed today, haven't seen it in daylight yet. Hopefully all good, thanks for the insight Rex!

Yes, this is new color in 14, and only available with the "special edition" package, that adds in some red in the seats, and bead locks finished a little differently that the regular bead locks.

So far really like it. Thanks all!
